any other pearls of wisdom you’d like to share with us mr einstein?

  2. truebottom Says:

the Ruts asked him personally to do this…..don’t be jelous cause you ain’t done shit…..

  3. DaemonNinja Says:

Or he could always be a faceless insult poster on youtube. Come on, Hnery Rollins at least tried something. All you’re doing is shitting on his attempt to do so.
You don’t like him? Fine. Stay away from him and anything involving him. I’ve found the best way to draw attention to something is comment on it, speak up, say something.
But personally I think he made a good job of things. What would you rather have, some idiot who didn’t care about the music or the legacy of The Ruts?

  4. TheVirginMurray Says:

    the ruts rule.
however rollins is a fuckin nerdy dickhead who ruins this ! fuckin wanker millionaire bullshitartist who should stick to writing his faggoty books instead of ruining classic music like this

  5. bloater999 Says:

The whole thing together with UK Subs, Damned, TV Smith, Misty in Roots et al is available on a professionally videoed DVD (not my mush pit efforts) from the therutsofficialpage on myspace with all proceeds to charity - I can recommend it!
    Cheers

  6. webgrecian Says:

  8. nxtmaster Says:

The first live band I ever saw when they supported The Damned - f*cking amazing - I still remember Malcolm jumping into the crowd and getting carried around the mosh pit by a load of pogoing punks - that was nearly 30 yrs ago!!

  12. theonlytruepunk Says:

It is rather amazing that there were not too many of us that loved this band back then…think about what the world missed out on because of our haircuts and negative media accounts. Still makes me laugh. I will always love this band. Thanks Henry for at least trying…

  13. lamrson Says:

  20. bloater999 Says:

Sad, but not unexpected news, today (21/10/07): PAUL FOX OF THE RUTS DIES AGED 56

“Legendary guitarist, Paul Fox, died at home in Uxbridge at 3AM this morning.

Paul leaves behind his sons Lawrence and William and his wife, Sharon.

    He will be dearly missed.”

  21. jennywren623 Says:

They got Rollins to sing because Rollins is like their biggest fan, and they knew he’d give it his best. It’s what Paul and the guys wanted.

  22. bloater999 Says:

Blimey sorry I can see that now - kinda appropriate for ‘Something that I Said’ mind you!

    Cheers

  23. cquence23 Says:

I wasn’t accusing YOU of taking a dig at someone, that was directed at hustler0204, and the way he said “And if you don’t know who Henry Rollins is… “. It just carried an air of smugness to it. Dunno, could just be my interpretation.

  24. bloater999 Says:

Can’t find the original post but I am sure I didn’t mean to take a dig - my apologises if it read that way!

  25. cquence23 Says:

If you take a moment to READ bloater999 and 7kopite7’s original posts, they were NOT referring to the gig in the video, but the gig at Rebellion, at which Rollins was NOT the singer. Please try to have all your ducks in a row before taking a dig at someone’s intelligence in the future.

    Cheers

P.S. Rollins is a guy (singular) not a guys (plural)
